He is a member of Forum for Democratic Change party and Shadow Attorney General in the Parliament of Uganda. He is also the current member of parliament for Bugweri County, Iganga District. He lost his parliamentary seat in the 2006 Ugandan general election. and successfully challenged the result of that Parliamentary election he had lost, citing widespread malpractices in the exercise & thereby won back his sit in Parliament the following year in a subsequent bye-election.
